His Lordship Captured

This drawing has been a long time in coming. I pencilled it more than a year ago, then never got around to inking it, then started inking it, then couldn't be bothered to finish inking it. Today, I realised I had already signed and dated it, so I'd better finish it pretty soon or else I'd have to change the date. So here it is, finished and coloured, in time for Boxing Day.
Does that mean our hapless older man could end up carted off in a box? Well, mmmaybeee. I don't know why I decided he was an English lord. Maybe because he looked aristocratic, at least to me. Also, when I was a boy, I saw this ad for a porn book (or magazine, or film, or something - bear with me, it was the early 1970s) which was the story of an English duke who found himself bound and enslaved by his wife on the night of his marriage. The ad was so teeny weeny that the image of the bound man was almost impossible to make out, which was in fact a great boost to my imagination - had I seen the actual object, I would probably have been disappointed. As it is, that very small picture and the three accompanying lines of texts have been fueling my fantasies for more than thirty years.

'tis the season to be jolly

Of course, the mature man of the day is the world famous Santa. This is how I'd like to find him on Christmas day. No wonder the old codger hasn't brought me anything for years.

Catch Me If You Can

Now I know what you folks have been thinking ever since I started this blog. You're probably thinking "That guy's a real sadist. He draws all those men in tight and uncomfortable bondage, often in awkward positions. What a creep!" Well, that's a misconception if there ever was one. I'm really a very kind and considerate person. And here's proof : this guy has the means to escape. He just has to reach it. Of course, you don't know how many hours he's been slowly crawling towards salvation, nor how long it'll take him to reach it and to cut himself free. That is, if his captor doesn't come and snatch the scissors from him before he can use them. An maybe throw them a few feet away from him. So the game can last a little bit longer...

Another Unexpected Situation

Well, what can I say? There was actually one request for the sequel, and since, as far as I know, there might be only three people actually interested in this blog, that makes it an overwhelming popular demand. So here's the follow-up to the last drawing. I have absolutely no idea how the younger guy managed to turn the tables on the older one, but he's done it and now he's taking advantage of the situation. I know I would (evil grin).

Unexpected Situation

I'm back! Yes, yes, I know, it's been the longest time. But I've been doing... things. Like, you know, going on vacation, meeting new people, going abroad... You know, stuff. Plus I don't spend all my time drawing mature men in bondage. Every now and then, I have to actually put mature men in bondage. Anyway, here's a new drawing, which is actually an old drawing, begun years ago, which I finished and coloured. Many of the drawings I post on this blog are like that.

You'll probably think - hey, what gives? The older man is actually tying up the younger one! Ah, yes, but the younger one is not that young and still qualifies as mature. And who knows for how long the older one has got the upper hand? Maybe, if enough people ask me for it, I'll draw a "sequel" showing the tables being turned.

Prowler in the Veldt

Look up "veldt" in your dictionary if you don't get this one, folks. This drawing tries to answer the question of what you do with a mature man once you've got him bound and gagged. Obviously, ol' Starman didn't have a clue. But then, he was a comic book superhero and in comic books, mature men usually have very minor parts, when they have one. As for the intimation that they might have a sex life... Let's say it is a very, very remote possibility. And when, extraordinarily, they do, it's always a straight sex life. Yawn! Why do you think I had to start drawing this stuff in the first place?

I'm off to the U.S. of A. for a few days, so there most likely won't be any new posts until mid-October, although who knows?

Starman to the rescue... at last (3)

Finally, Starman makes his move. What took him so bl--dy long? Is it that he wasn't even aware that Jediah Rikane was being helf captive in Lord Oswin's hold? Ah, what the hey, at least, when he does get going, things get sorted out quickly.

So Jediah is out of bondage at last (aww...) but at least we get to see a couple more pics of his half-naked body. Mmm...

But Jediah Rikane is no ingrate, no sirree. When Starman gets him to safety in his secret hiding, ol'Jed makes Starman an offer he can't refuse...

Can you believe this? This cute bear tells him "I'm your man" and all he can do is laugh. Cheez, how straight can you get? I can tell you that when I first read this comic so many long years ago, I had quite a different reading of it, and that was long before queer studies and the like.

Starman to the rescue... again. (2)

Yesterday, we left poor old Jediah Rikane in a mess. Well, it turns out he stays in a mess for some time. How come? Are the authors that sadistic?

Not exactly! It's just so Jediah has time to reminisce how he got into that mess. So is Starman going to find out about the plot on his own? Is he going to come and save poor cute bear in bondage Jediah? What do you think?

Starman to the rescue... again.

Or, as we are supposed to say in French : Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. (Which means the more things change, the more they stay the same but really, I'm French and I've never heard any Frenchman say that except Maurice Chevalier in very old movies.) So it's another superhero with the name of Starman, this time the third character to have that name. This extract is from Starman's first appearance in Adventure Comics 467 published in late 1979 and yes, I did buy that issue when it came out and no, I'm not going to tell you how old that makes me. The story is written by Paul Levitz (who has since become VP of publisher DC Comics), inked by Romeo Tanghal and pencilled by the inimitable Steve Ditko, whom I've always thought drew very hot mature men (hey, he created J.Jonah Jameson, Spider-Man's arch enemy who's the star of this blog post). So you can imagine my delight when I bought this issue and found out there was a new Ditko-drawn series and it featured this hot bondage scene. So what is going on? Somewhere in space, mysterious masked figure Starman has just rescued a star cruiser that was hurtling towards a sun and certain doom and now, he's being given the grand tour by the starship's owner, Lord Oswin. He's unaware that in the ship's hold, hot mature man Jediah Rikane is being held in bondage and questioned. Shall our hero rescue him? Tune in later for the answer.

Thursday 24 September 2009

Yes, it's another hogtie! I guess this really must be my favourite bondage position. The not-so-older man in this drawing was inspired by a famous comics character. Can you guess which?

Tuesday 22 September 2009

Isn't there something wonderfully hot about an older man in bondage, struggling to get free, but to no avail? Well, at least I think so. This drawing is titled "Businessman Bound". I just finished putting it in colour and showing how I do that to my friend Marc, whose place I'm staying at for a few days. It's in Britanny, about twenty miles from Rennes and the weather's great so I didn't spend much time in front of the computer today. It's much nicer in the garden.

Sunday 20 September 2009

This drawing is an experiment - I tried scanning a pencil sketch that I kinda liked the way it was and colouring it. I'm quite happy with the result. The name of this one is "Pris au saut du lit" which means something like "taken right when you step out of bed" in French, although it's obvious this guy didn't even have time to get out of bed. It's the first panel in a comic that never went any further than pencilling the first page of. I guess it was all in the first picture and, yes, the man sleeps in his undies. Isn't that cute?

I'm extremely happy today because I just had a story published on the Nifty site of porn fiction. Actually, that's not that great a feat, since all contributions to the site are welcome, so all you have to do is write a short story or novel and submit it and it'll be published online. Still, it means that you actually have to write a story and finish it to be able to submit it and have it published. Over the years, I've started a number of prose stories that never went anywhere. This time, I'm trying to be realistic, write one chapter at a time and have it published when it's completed, as a sort of incentive to writing a longer story little bit by little bit (or rather, chapter by chapter).

The Nifty Erotic Stories Archives are organised in a number of categories and sub-categories. My favourite is, obviously, the Gay Male/Authoritarian listing. However, most of the stories deal with younger men as subs, which is kind of frustrating. So I decided that once again, if I didn't find what I liked, I had to make my own. Actually, I've been writing porn fiction since I was in my teens but never had anything out in the open. You can't imagine what a thrill it is to see my writing out there for people to read. In case you are interested - and I bet you are - you can read chapter one of "Old Enough To Know Better" here.

Monday 14 September 2009

Another colour version of a drawing published in Bound & Gagged. This one has a bearish kind of mature man. It's for Forrest, from PlanetBears, who liked my work and has great taste in men. Note the little zip-a-tone dots: this was long before my computer could make that kind of effect. So, yes - the zip-a-tone was actually cut, stuck on the drawing, then scraped to get the desired effect, just like the Japanese manga artists, only they do it every day while I only did it once.

Sunday 13 September 2009

The other day, I was musing on the imaginative possibilities a bondage artist could get out of setting himself the task of depicting an amputee in bondage. Like, how do you tie up a guy's legs if he only has one? French comic artist Crisse seems to have taken up the opposite challenge: how do you tie up someone who has more limbs than the average human? Say, a centaur? This extract from the first volume of his series Atalante shows how Crisse handled the problem. And since the centaur in bondage is none other than Chiron, oldest and wisest of all, it only makes the answer more exciting to look at!

Friday 11 September 2009

Unlike lots of people interested or involved in gay SM art, I'm no great fan of The Hun.
However, I have to admit there's one thing in his art that works really well - the mixture of art and text. You can consider his art extremely static comics or very wordy cartoons. I personally think it defies such categorization.
I have found that putting text in certain drawings, as if they were extracts from a bigger story, really works. One can imagine what went on before and what's going to take place afterwards. Really stimulates the… imagination.

Punishment for Father

As you can see from the date next to my signature, "Punishment for Father" is a rather old drawing. I still find it very hot. It was actually conceived as an illustration for a novel I only ever wrote the first paragraphs of.

It was also one of my few drawings to be published. And no, I don't mean online publishing, I mean real honest-to-goodness paper publishing. That was in Projet X 39 (April 1999), which had a portfolio of four of my drawings.

That was kind of a strange experience. On the plus side, at last I was being published in a French gay mag (my attempts at having my more vanilla drawings published in the weekly Gai Pied Hebdo in the late 1980s having being a dismal failure - they only wanted young muscular guys, you see). On the minus side, the editor of Projet X felt the need to ask for his readers' "open mindedness" for my "fully mature forces of nature" in the issue's editorial. And that just after he was asking them to be open minded about scatology. It felt kind of weird to learn that to some people, being interested in mature and older men was akin to eating shit. With friends like these, who needs enemies?

Starman to the rescue!

Yes, it's another of those superheroes from the so-called "Golden Age" of comics coming to the rescue - not of a damsel in distress but of a mature man in bondage. This time, it's Starman, who's just escaped from a bo-o-ring dinner date with perk brunette "miss Lee" in "the fashionable and exclusive Flamingo Club". It's so much more fun to go out and fight crooks with your "gravity rod", especially when you can score with cute elderly scientists abducted by dorks with names like "Dr. Doog" who are only interested in their ultra-dynamos. I mean come on, Doog, get a life! Or at least a fashion sense!

(These panels are from the debut story of Starman in Adventure Comics 61, from April 1941. They are drawn by Jack Burnley.)

Saturday 29 August 2009

At first, I thought I'd leave this drawing in black and white but then I tried doing a colour version. This is the result. I'm not entirely convinced going colour was a good idea, but what the hey! The caption is in French for two reasons. Reason #1 : I am French. Reason #2 : the idea for the drawing came from a 1980s movie in which Lee Marvin played an American gangster pursued by the police who took refuge in a French farm and found out the farm people were a family of twisted bastards. So I got rid of all but one of the family members, didn't even try to make the ganster look like Lee Marvin (he's cute, but I just couldn't be bothered) and had the old farmer say : "Ho ho… My boy, when you're ready to tell me where you hid the loot from your stick-up, just gimme a sign! I've got all the time in the world! And I've made tougher men than you pee in their pants!"

Too rad for "Bound & Gagged"

More than ten years ago, I submitted some drawings for publication in Bound & Gagged magazine. A bunch of four drawings were chosen and run in one issue in 1997. The drawing to the right was among those not chosen for publication, even though it was probably one of the most softcore of the lot. What do you think the reason was?
Right, our culture has a problem with physical handicap, and I guess the gay subculture, so often obsessed with what passes for physical beauty and perfection, has an even bigger problem. It does not want to see old men, fat men, men with any kind of disability. Heaven forbid that such men could actually want to have a (gasp ! choke!) sex life. Or that said sex life might even be a tad kinky!
To me the guy I drew in "Tight Bondage" (the title of the drawing) is very hot. So he's missing part of an arm. So the hell what? It's just the way his body is. Nothing ugly or frightening about it. And it poses interesting technical problems - like, how do you tie up a guy who's missing one arm? Tackle that one, you so-called bondage masters!

Wednesday 26 August 2009

Is J. Jonah Jameson in the closet?

If you read superhero comics, you know there aren't an awful lot of mature men in them. For me, J. Jonah Jameson, Spider-Man's newspaperman arch-enemy (recently elected mayor) has been a major turn on since I was in my teens. I even drew pictures of him in bondage back then. But in fact, over his 40-year-plus comics career, ol'Jonah has been bound (and sometimes gagged) more than once. This is, to me, the sexiest instance, from a late 1980's issue of Web of Spider-Man. Is this hot, or what? What's even weirder than this quasi-gay bondage fantasy, is that the character of the Chameleon was later revealed to be gay. If only this comic had been published when I was a teenager!

Monday 24 August 2009

Boy! It sure is a lot of work putting those drawings in colour. I hope you appreciate the effort. You do? Then how about posting in a comment? Anyway, this one's called "Losing a Bet" and the question is: is the guy on the couch losing the bet now or has he already lost it and paying the price for it? Intriguing, isn't it?

Tough Boss Hostage

I was rather happy with the pencil version of this drawing, so I did a trial inking not with my usual pen and ink but with a Faber-Castell S artist pen, and I thought that version would be nice for colour. This drawing's title is "Tough Boss Taken Hostage". I'm not sure what kind of hostage-taker would tie his prisoner in such an elaborate position, but the bloke does look like a tough boss and lately, the news have been full of disgruntled employees sequestering their bosses, so who knows what might happen to such a mean-looking bastard? I'm sure I would take advantage of the situation. I haven't put a gag on him, as I quite like the idea of his captors letting him vent his indignation and helpless anger. In the final analysis, it's all he can do. So let him bellow as loud as he can, if it makes him feel better.

Grandad can't see you - he's all tied up

Just for a change, a pic I found on the web. Now, I ask you, is that any way to treat a nice old grandfather? Those nineteenth century people were even kinkier than I am.

Saturday 15 August 2009

Yes, it's a colour version of the very first image I put on this blog. This was a special request from a very special person, my good friend ZZDave, one of the yummiest men I've ever had the good chance to… er… let's not get into too much detail, shall we?

Anyway, "Big Bear Bound" was one of four drawings run in the late lamented Bound & Gagged magazine. Dave saw it at the time and liked it very much. Then, a few years later, we finally met through the internet (a wonderful invention, really), so when I launched this blog, I decided the first picture I'd post would be that one. And now, because Dave asked me to, I've done a colour version.

I'll tell you a secret - it's also one of my favourites. It's got everything I like: a big burly bear, bondage, big chunky feet and a wonderful look on the "victim's" face.

Thursday 13 August 2009

Here is another old drawing I've put in colour for this blog. The title is "Bound in the Barn" and I imagine the bound and gagged older man is a French peasant who finds himself hogtied in his own barn. His clothes are neatly piled up in a corner. He doesn't know who did this to him, nor how it happened. He must have been unconscious for some time. Who's done this? And why? Maybe you readers have some ideas?

Monday 10 August 2009

This is a rather old drawing (I'd say more than ten years old) which I coloured today. It's funny how something old can seem brand new again when put in a different context. I'm learning to use my computer colouring tools and I'm really happy with the results on this one.

If you enjoy what you see on this blog, please leave a comment. It's the only way for me to get some feedback, and I'm really interested in what you have to say.

Sunday 9 August 2009

Okay, so I'm not the only pervert in the world. Nor does it seem as though drawing bound mature men is a new trend. The cover here is from an issue of Mystic Comics dating from 1941. This is the second cover I've come across with this character (The Destroyer) where the person in peril - there's always somebody in peril on those old comic book covers - is not a pretty girl but an old man. An old man in bondage. Hmmm… Maybe the Destroyer had tastes similar to mine. Or the cover arttist, whoever he was.
This is part of a bigger drawing that I colored today to use it as a masthead for the Yahoo group I moderate. It's called "Mature Men Bound And Gagged" and if you like the stuff on this blog, I strongly recommend you check it out.

Oh, and aren't those two lovely? The bondage is completely impractical, of course, but I like the way it looks.

Wednesday 5 August 2009

One of the things I like most about drawing is being able to "picture" things that couldn't happen for real - among which non-consensual bondage. Now, I'd never do that in real life, but I quite enjoy fantasizing about it. When I manage to make it look as though the victim is not enjoying what's happening to him, and is in fact struggling to get free, I feel that a drawing is very successful indeed.

Wednesday 22 July 2009

Yay! Thanks to my good friend Thom, I managed to get this picture right this time. So here's how it's supposed to look.

Saturday 18 July 2009

This is a nice fantasy - using a mature man as an exhibit in a contemporary art gallery. For some reason, whenever I try and upload this picture on a site, the coloring is reversed. But I still like it, even with the odd colors.

Wednesday 15 July 2009

This is an illustration for a story I started to write a loooong time ago… and never got around to finishing. At some point, I wanted to publish a fanzine of my bondage drawings… and never got around to doing it. Now, all I need to do for this drawing to be seen is put it on my blog. Isn't the internet wonderful?

Tuesday 14 July 2009

The idea of tight bondage is often much easier than the actual putting into practice. Which is why drawing is so nice - you can do anything you can dream of!

Sunday 12 July 2009

Very often, an image will come up and I'll just draw it, not try to explain it. When I had to come up with a title for this one "A Sailor in Bad Straits" sort of suggested itself.

Tuesday 7 July 2009

So if you are a mature man, beware - you may enter this blog, but you might never get out.

Monday 6 July 2009

The only good mature man...

The only good mature man is a mature man in bondage. If you don't know why he deserves to be put in bondage, he does.
